The service
Evertag hosts dynamic QR codes. You print a code once; we resolve it, and you can re-point it at a new destination whenever you like.
The permanence guarantee
A printed QR code is not something we get to break. If you stop paying, or downgrade, or your subscription lapses, your existing codes keep resolving. What you lose is the ability to change them and the analytics on top — the redirect itself keeps working.
The one way to stop a code resolving is to archive it yourself. That is deliberate, and it is irreversible.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself, and keep your second factor safe if you set one up. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly at security@evertag.app if you think someone else has gotten into it.
What you may not point a code at
A QR code hides its destination until it's scanned, which makes it a natural tool for deception. So: no malware, no phishing, no impersonation of anyone else, and nothing illegal where you or your scanners are. We will take down codes used this way, and we may close the account behind them.
Plans and billing
Paid plans bill monthly through Stripe until you cancel. Cancel any time — you keep the paid features until the period you've paid for ends, and then the account returns to the free tier (your codes keep resolving; see above). We don't refund partial months by default, but if something has gone wrong, write to us and we'll sort it out.
Paid plans require two-factor authentication on every member of the organization.
Availability
We work hard to keep redirects up, and the redirect path is deliberately built to survive failures elsewhere in the system. But we don't promise perfection, and the service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you've paid us in the previous twelve months.
Changes
We may update these terms; we'll date the change here and email you if it matters. If you keep using Evertag afterwards, that's acceptance.
